Package plants are pre-manufactured wastewater treatment facilities typically used to treat flows between 0.01 and 0.25 MGD. This course provides information about three types of package plants, extended aeration, sequencing batch reactor and oxidation ditch systems.  General configuration, typical applications for each, advantages and disadvantages, typical performance, and cost are covered. This course is intended for civil, municipal, and environmental engineers, as well as anyone interested in or involved with wastewater treatment.  An attendee of this course will gain knowledge about three types of wastewater treatment package plants. In this course, you need to review the material in the U.S. EPA Wastewater Technology Fact Sheet, Package Plants (EPA 832-F-00-016), which is in the pdf file, "Package Plants for Wastewater Treatment."  Once you complete your course review, you need to take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of ten (10) questions to earn 1 PDH credit. The quiz will be based on the entire document.
