Intended Audience: for electrical engineers and electrical maintenance technicians interested in safe working conditions

PDH UNITS: 3

This course provides electrical safety guidance when working with underground electrical systems and low voltage interior systems. It applies to underground work in manholes, vaults, and handholes; work on duct lines, trenches, and underground cables; and work on ground-mounted and underground equipment associated with underground electrical lines. It also discusses electrical safety for low voltage interior systems, circuits and equipment. Course Outline 1. UNDERGROUND WORK 2. GENERAL PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS 3. CABLE PULLING 4. BURIED ELECTRICAL CABLES 5. DAMAGE TO EXISTING UTILITY LINES 6. PREPARING TO WORK UNDERGROUND 7. WORK INSIDE UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES 8. LOW VOLTAGE INTERIOR SYSTEMS This course will give you tools that will help you to work safely with low voltage interior and underground electrical systems.
