Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that considers pervasive presence in the environment of a variety of things/objects that through wireless and wired connections and unique addressing schemes are able to interact with each other and cooperate with other things/objects to create new applications/services and reach common goals This course narrates Applications and future of Internet of Things and explains in detail about how IoT works. It also talks about features, advantages and disadvantages of IoT. Sensors play very important role in IoT. Types of sensors used, their application and selection is talked about in this course. Network and standards used in IoT are discussed in detail followed by all potential applications of IoT in all the fields. Course is concluded with the topic of safety and security required for future growth of IoT.
