Description
This course caters, mainly, to Engineers, Construction Project Managers, Contractors, Quality Control Managers, and public officers and private firm owners who deal directly or indirectly with steel. Through this course, attendees are expected to learn basic fundamentals of steel design; including tension members, compression members, base plates and beams. This course introduces the basic formulae used by the AISC design code for the analysis and design of the basic steel members. This course discusses the factors affecting the design decisions. This course touches on the main similarities and differences between the two design methods ASD, and LRFD.- Updated to AISC 14th edition.
