Description
This course caters, mainly, to Engineers, Construction Project Managers, Contractors, Quality Control Managers, and public officers and private firm owners who deal directly or indirectly with steel. Through this course, attendees are expected to learn basic fundamentals of steel ingredients and their effect on the final product of steel. This course introduces the basic sections used by the AISC design code and how to identify a steel section. This course discusses the basic properties of steel, and the stress-strain relationship. This course touches on the main similarities and differences between the two design methods ASD, and LRFD. Latest edition of AISC is used, Edition 14th.
