Architects and Engineers are not always involved in all aspects of the development process (from project inception (including Owner’s feasibility) through real estate, design, construction, and the warranty period. This course covers the basics of the entire development process investigating some areas such as real estate due diligence, causes and remedies associated with claims and change orders, basics of critical path method (CPM) scheduling and how the manage potential and requested time extensions from the contractor during construction, cost control during construction, material, equipment, and labor management, safety, earned value, commissioning, mobilization, and closeout.
