Description
A stormwater BMP is a method or combination of methods found to be the most effective and feasible means of preventing or reducing the amount of pollution generated by nonpoint sources, to a level which is compatible with water quality goals. Problem assessment, including technological, economic, and institutional considerations; examination of alternative practices; and appropriate public participation, are all considered before implementing BMP solutions.
