Can you determine whether a given waste is a hazardous waste regulated by EPA under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)? This course covers a very organized approach to answering just that question, starting with determining whether your waste is considered a "solid waste" under the RCRA regulations and moving on to determining if it fits one of the RCRA requirements for being a hazardous waste. Intended primarily for environmental, civil, and chemical engineers, this course will highlight the procedures for determining whether a given waste is a RCRA hazardous waste. Before taking this course, please review the material in the course content file, "Introduction to Hazardous Waste Identification" (EPA530-K-05-012). Once you've successfully competed the course review, please complete and submit the short multiple-choice quiz in order to earn 2 PDH credits.
