Construction supervisors, in the traditional sense, are the representative of the owner (such as a private company or public agency) of a construction project. The construction supervisor’s primary objective is protection of the owner’s interest to see that the owner receives from the builder the construction result that was bargained and contracted for. This course stresses the importance of having definitive working drawings and specifications as the basis for a contract between owner and builder, and how the construction supervisor uses them to control the work and assure the quality of construction delivered to the owner.
Attendees will learn a structured approach to supervision of the construction process for buildings and infrastructure that will provide the owning company or agency that it will receive construction work of the quality and utility it contracted for.
