[Live Webinar] Slope Stabilization; Tieback Walls, Soil Nailing and Slope Monitoring

This lecture addresses three main topics.  The first will be a review of the design and construction of tieback walls using active anchors, used from 1957 to date.  The second topic is soil nailing, a technique which started in 1970 or earlier using passive ground anchors.

The last topic is slope instrumentation and monitoring, as well as early warning alarm systems used in Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro and other places.
