Description
This course introduces fundamental and advanced concepts of wind engineering and is design for engineers and other professionals who have little or no background about the design and analysis for wind loads. Basic fundamentals of wind engineering will be discussed followed by the latest in the ASCE/SEI 7-2010 standards. The minimum wind design loads and design formulae will be presented in a simplified format, making it easy to follow and apply. The seminar offers engineers an opportunity to gain familiarization with the general concepts of wind engineering and wind design criteria as well as basic use of the ASCE/SEI minimum design loads for buildings and other structures.
