Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers, London Senior geotechnical consultant on infrastructure projects: foundations, excavations, water and tailings dams, soft soils, slopes, tunnels, harbour structures, site investigation, in situ testing, instrumentation and monitoring, etc. Former Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro for 25 years. Experience from international projects in South America, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, UK and Canada. Permanent resident of the US and Brazil. Speaks English, Spanish, German, Portuguese; some French.
